WHAT IS 925 STERLING SILVER?

925 sterling silver is a silver alloy that is made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% of another metal, usually copper. Pure silver by itself is too soft for jewelry making so sterling silver allows the precious metal to be practical & durable for wearing.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY STERLING SILVER JEWELRY?

With proper care, sterling silver can last between 20-30 years and even forever. Here are some tips that will keep your jewelry shiny, in shape and like new:

- Always store in a cool, dark, dry place

- Avoid extended wear in direct sunlight, wearing your jewelry in swimming pools or in water that contains harsh chemicals

- Store each of your pieces separately to avoid scratching (All of our pieces are sent in their own resealable bag)

- Sterling silver is hypoallergenic and not prone to rusting, but it can tarnish over time. When this happens, you can simply polish your jewelry at home with soap & water, or with a dry cloth & silver polish - we suggest Wright’s Silver Cream available here.
